AlpinExpress Pass
Travel by train to reduce your carbon footprint and make savings in resortUp to 60% of carbon emissions when you go on a ski holiday are associated with travel, with flights being the number one culprit. It’s therefore important for ski resorts to help tourists choose greener options. Coming to Les Gets by train is the best way to reduce your carbon footprint.
Local businesses in Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz have joined forces, by offering incentives to skiers who use low carbon travel. The ‘AlpinExpress Pass’ is an initiative with a single focus, to reduce the carbon emissions of ski holidays.
The pass gives access to local discounts on ski passes, accommodation, ski schools, transfers, ski hire, restaurants and other experiences in Les Gets and the surrounding area.
The ‘AlpinExpress Pass’ is spearheaded by our local environmental nonprofit association ‘Montagne Verte’, which is responsible for many other sustainable tourism projects in the valley.
Here at LGS, we believe in creating awareness of how climate change is influencing life in the mountains and we fully support greener initiatives.
LGS ski instructors offer discounted private lessons as part of the ‘AlpinExpress Pass’.
