How To: Pick something up from the slope

It can be the funniest thing to watch from the chairlift. If you want to save yourself the embarrassment of toppling down the hill, checkout this short video clip which demonstrates how to pick something up from the ski slope without falling over.

Hint: If you need to pick up a glove or pole which has been dropped on the slope, don't try to reach it from the uphill side.
Position yourself: Be sure to ski into a position DOWNHILL of the item to make it closer to reach.
Ski school: If you're in a group ski lesson and perhaps standing in a row, you could end up toppling the whole class over if you reach down the hill to attempt to pick up your glove. It's probably easier to just ask one of your class mates to pass it to you!
