Tim did exactly what we all wanted, which was to take us from timid blue run skiers to zipping down all of the reds in Les Gets by the end of our weeks holiday. He instilled confidence in us all. YOU WILL IMPROVE!

Morzine Ski Resort

Morzine is just a 70 minute drive from Geneva airport and is an extremely popular winter destination. Once a traditional farming town nestled into the valley at 1000m between Les Gets and the purpose built ski resort of Avoriaz, Morzine’s popularity has grown significantly in recent years.

From the centre of Morzine ski resort it’s possible to ski in two different directions. The Super Morzine bubble lift departs from the centre of the village in the direction of Avoriaz and on to the wider Portes du Soleil ski area. In the opposite direction you’ll find the newly constructed Pleney telecabine, which whisks skiers and snowboarders from the bottom of the Pleney homerun to an altitude of 1500m in just a few minutes. This sunny plateau at the top of the Pleney is where you’ll find an excellent beginners area and a host of blue, red and black runs which head towards the Nyon sector, over towards Les Gets and back into the centre of Morzine.

The resort of Morzine itself has a huge range of accommodation options in addition to excellent resort facilities such as the newly constructed indoor swimming pool and spa. Morzine is also home to the Morzine-Avoriaz-Les Gets Penguins ice hockey team who play their home matches at the Skoda Area.
